LEAGUE MATCH
CAPTAINS REPORT:
On a fine and blustery day at Stourbridge Worcestershire started the match in fine style. Captained by the new County Champion, George Palmer, Worcs. won the foursomes 4 ½ to ½ . This included a fine win 4 and 3 by Ian Martin and James Robinson. After lunch it was a different story with S&H fighting back in the singles winning three of the first five games with the other two being halved. News arrived that we were well down in games 8 and 10. Suddenly the thoughts were that we were about to lose the match! However thanks to Kieron, Henry and Nick who won their games right at the end, we scraped through. Overall, it was a good win in what was a well fought and sporting match. Many thanks to the Stourbridge Club for their hospitality and for a 'well presented' course.
